Definition

For each field in the identification matrix, you can define which individual characters (such as umlauts) or character strings are to be replaced before searching for and identifying points of delivery. Allreplacement rules that are used together for a field, are grouped and given a unique ID.

Use

Select which replacement rules are to be used for the corresponding text field. You do this by selecting the corresponding ID. Leave the field empty if you do not wish to use a replacement rule.

Dependencies

If oyu maintain this field, you can improve the hit ratio for the point of delivery identification, because the algorithm is more tolerant of varied spellings.

Example

In order for varied spellings of street names to be included, you can use the following character synonyms for the 'STREET' field:

Character string     Replaced by

Street    str*

street    str*

Str.    str*

str.    str*
