Documentation
Definition
Defines that account assignment objects (cost centers and profit centers) are to be created with a maximum object validity.
Use
The following values are used if this indicator is set:
- Start date: 01/01/1900
- End date: 12/31/9999
The following values are used if this indicator is not set:
- Start date: first day of the month in which the force element is valid
- End date: last day of the month in which the force element is valid
Dependencies
The object validity always begins on the first day of a month and ends on the last day of a month to enable period-based price planning for cost centers, for example. The object validity must cover at least one full month.
SAP recommends you set this indicator, since a dependency exists between profit center and cost center with regard to the object validity and the profit center does not have to be generated at the same organizational level as the cost center (depending on the settings made in Customizing in the IMG activity Control: Master Data Generation - Accounting).
