Definition

A node category is a defined set of business object element assignments of a business object node.

Use

Node categories can be used to distinguish the behavior of a business object node during runtime according to different configuration settings for each node category.

Associations determinations validations and actions as well as attribute properties can be assigned to a node category.

Dependencies

Each standard node of a business object has to have at least one node category defined. If a node has only one node category, it can be defined as standard node category.
