Definition

Indicator: Business object is relevant to Enterprise Search

Use

You use this indicator to specify whether a business object is relevant to Enterprise Search. If the indicator is set, you are able to:

  • Specify the name of the Enterprise Search Model
  • Specify the data extraction class
  • Activate writing of change pointers to allow delta indexing for business object data
  • Import business object metadata into the Modeler for Search and Analytics

The import function of the Modeler for Search and Analytics allows transferring the database view of the business object model from BOPF to Enterprise Search. Transient elements of the business object are therefore not transferred.

    • Specify settings specific to search in the Modeler for Search and Analytics
    • When repeating the import for an existing Enterprise Search Model, the existing model is overwritten

Dependencies

Writing of change pointers works only if the name of the Enterprise Seearch Model is specified correctly.
