An alternative key is a defined set of attributes of a business object node that is unique for each node instance.
Use
An alternative key can be used to identify a business object node. Multiple alternative keys can be defined for a business object node.
Dependencies
Example
The key of the root node of the business object outbound delivery is a (non-readable) GUID. One alternative key is the readable internal number that is also unique and identifies this node instance, which is defined on the root node (the business object instance).
