Definition

You have the option of storing a default item text which is selected when a text is available from the Item Text agreement . This enables the user to include a cash reference, for example, in the item text. This option is selected by flagging the 'with Agreement Item text' field.

A Date can refer to an Item Text agreement by means of a link. During the settlement of this Date the system fills the TXT_BCH field of the settlement tables with the text from this Item Text agreement. As a result, this text can be used as a default item text like all other fields of the /BEV3/CHABRSTZ_P table.

When the function module is called later on, the system first checks whether the TXT_BCH field is filled. If a text is available from the Item Text agreement, the system searches for a default item text which has been created for this text (i.e. with a flag in the 'with Agreement Item text' field). If no such default is found or if the TXT_BCH field is empty, the 'normal' default is selected which has been created for use when no Item Text agreement is available (i.e. when the 'with Agreement Item text' field is empty).

The function module also behaves in a similar way when a default item text with or without posting key is available. Therefore, please note that the availability of a posting key has a higher priority than the availability of a text from an Item Text agreement.
