Definition
The earliest possible time when a settlement is to be performed within a settlement period can be defined by means of the from-time control. The from-time must be within the contract validity period. A rule always sets the from-time (valid from) at the beginning of the month of a settlement period. For the to-time (valid to), mostly no values are entered. As a result, a definite contract end or settlement end (open end) is not given at first. In those cases, the time of the contract end ensues from an event (remaining capital is smaller than / equal to zero, for example).
