Definition
The posting key describes the movement type entered in the document item.
Attributes that control the entry of the document item are themselves mentioned in the item are agreed for each posting key.
The most important attibutes derived from the posting key are the:
- account type
- assignment to debit or credit side
- the possible or necessary tasks that need to be entered in the item.
In combination with the contract movement type, the posting key unambiguously defines a business process seen from the point of view of Contract Handling.
