Definition
The official authorization number identifies a tax warehouse that is authorized to store goods under duty suspension.
A tax warehouse must be approved by the customs authorities for each individual tax type. The customs authorities allot the warehouse an excise duty warehouse number (excise duty number of the business residence) that uniquely identifies the tax warehouse in combination with the tax type.
In the SAP system, a tax warehouse can be physically or logically subdivided into several storage locations.
