Documentation
Definition
This field is used as an alternative for converting units using the ED instead of the standard SAP conversion. The unit entered here is used as reference value to convert into the actual settlement unit.
You set the type of conversion to be used (SAP/ED) in the ED material master at client level for each material:
Material Master->Basic Data 1->Excise Duty->Client or using transaction MM02.
A prerequisite is that alternative conversion using ED has been permitted in the definition of the tax type.
Example:
The settlement unit of the tax is LRA (liter absolute alcohol) and the unit of alternative conversion is 'L' (liter). In this case conversion may be performed using either ED (L * alcoholic strength) or using the regular SAP conversion.
