The alcoholic strength of ED relevant materials must be maintained at client level:
Material Master->Basic Data 1->Excise Duty->Client or using transaction MM02.

If the alcoholic strength of a material is dependent on the plant, a varying value with a validity period can be created in the ED master data at plant level:
Material Master->Basic Data 1->Excise Duty->Plant or using transaction MM02.
