Definition
When the analysis of the Sales Returns is created, the proportional order quantity and the stock quantity need to be entered for the stock posting. There may be a difference between these two quantities.
This difference may, for instance, result from entering a complete cask in the sales return order, while the lab analysis produces only a half- filled cask. Since a complete cask was posted when the sales return order was created and the subsequent goods receipt posting was made, while there is actually only the contents of a half cask is in the warehouse, it is necessary to generate ein goods receipt cancellation document with the full goods material and the quantity 'half cask'. The date of this document may be identical to the date of the goods receipt document but it may also be different. Generally, another date needs to be chosen when the excise duty tax return was already filed.
The date for the difference posting is entered in the header area of the analysis mask. When the system checks the data, it automatically copies the date into the analysis items not yet settled.
