Definition
The value in the Structure Category for Material Relationship field is used to distinguish full products or structured empties from normal materials in a purchase order and in Invoice Verification.
Use
The value F (Full Product) in the Structure Category field in combination with the single-level bill of material (usage 5) function causes the system to show tied empties in the purchase order as dependent items.
The value S (Structured Empties) is used as input help for the purchase order. In combination with the single-level bill of material (usage 5) function, the system breaks down the components of the structured empties into individual empties items.
If you set the value S (Structured Empties) for a material in the Structure Category field, then you must set the status in the material master in the Cross-Plant Material Status field in such a way that the material is not taken into account in the stock (and therefore in the goods movement). Processing in Inventory Management is not permitted for structured empties.
The system also uses the Structure Category for Material Relationship in Invoice Verification.
You can select the following fixed values:
- Initial:No Structure
- F:Full Product
- S:Structured Empties
