Definition
Loading units (LDU) are used to assess the vehicle load when goods are collected or delivered. They are used in order entry, delivery processing, and route planning.
Loading units generally represent pallet positions. They are determined for each document.
If pallets are loaded with one specific product type exclusively, the remaining quantities represent one loading unit. Otherwise, the excess quantities of a loading unit group are grouped in one loading unit.
