Documentation
Definition
Internal technical key of a business object in the Business Object Repository (BOR).
Use
Business objects are identified in the BOR by object type (for example, BUS2032) and a descriptive name. Both identifiers must be unique across all object types.
The object type can contain of a maximum of 10 characters.
Dependencies
Business objects are often addressed using the descriptive name from external applications, while internally in the BOR they are mostly identified using the object type. Initially, only the internal key is used, but the extensive use of business objects causes the need for addressing them using names. For compatibility reasons, both identifiers are used.
