Definition

Use

In this field, you specify which method the system uses to fill the query result field during the processing of the query.

Initially, the system fills all result fields that you have linked to a search connector with the respective values of the result data returned by the search connector. You can use additional methods that modify or replace these values.

The following methods are available:

  • Search Connector

    The system uses the value returned by the search connector.

  • Aggregation

    The system fills the result field with the result of the aggregation function specified in the Aggr.Func. (Aggregation Function) field. You can only use this method if you have selected the In Group (Field in Group) checkbox for at least one of the other result fields.

  • Formula

    The system fills the result field with the result of the formula specified in the Formula ID (ID of Query Formula) field.

  • Business Add-In (BAdI)

    The result field is filled in the FILL_RESULT_ATTR method of the BAdI /BCV/QRM_QUERY_RESULT of the enhancement spot /BCV/QRM. This method is only applicable if you have created an active implementation of this BAdI. Dependencies

You can link query fields to search connectors by choosing the Search Connector Field value in the Origin (Origin of Query Field) field.
