Use

In this field, you can enter the data type of the query field. The system uses this information to determine what kind of data the field can handle.

Dependencies

You can only enter a data type in this field if you did not enter a data element in field Data Element. Otherwise, the system automatically fills in the field with data from the field Data Element, and switches it to read only mode.

Depending on the data type you entered, you might also need to enter values in fields Field Length and Field Decimals.

If you entered data type Quantity or Currency Amount you also have to enter a reference field in field Ref. Field (Reference Field) of type Unit of Measure or Currency Unit, respectively.
