Use

In this field, you can enter the data element of the query field. The system uses the data element to determine the data type, texts, conversion exit, field help, and value help of the query field from the Data Dictionary (DDIC).

Dependencies

If you enter a data element in this field, the system automatically fills in the following fields and switches them to read-only mode:

• Data Type (Data Type of Query Field)
• Field Length (Length of Query Field)
• Field Decimals (Decimals of Query Field)
• Conversion Exit
• Lowercase (Lowercase Letters Allowed in Query Input Field Values)
• Description (Description of Query Field)
• Label (Short) ((Short) Field Label for Query Field)
• Label (Medium) ((Medium) Field Label for Query Field)
• Label (Long) ((Long) Field Label for Query Field)
