Use

In case the data provision technology does not provide the data element, you can use this field to enter the data element of the search connector field.

Dependencies

If you have specified the data element in this field, you cannot change the following fields:

• Description
• Field Data Type
• Data Type Length
• Data Type Decimals
• Conversion Exit

These fields keep their last setting to document the data type specification of the data provision technology.

If you want to change the content of any of the above fields, you must clear this field and choose Enter first.

If a new field is created in the query, the data element and the data type definition is copied by the system to it (see Data Element of Query Field).
