Definition

Indicator showing whether or not possibly temporarily inconsistent entities (PTI entities) are updated in dialog processing.

  • 'X' switched ON. The dependency settings defined by the customer are used here.
  • ' ' switched OFF

If you activate this indicator, you must also activate data flow management. If a correction is then made, the PTI entities will be determined and written to the database.

If this indicator is switched OFF and a correction is made, the PTI entities will be determined, but not written to the database. For this reason, there are some restrictions in the functionality provided by correction reporting. This means that it is not possible to find any PTI entities in the database for reporting purposes.

Unlike correction reporting at a later point in time, notification is sent to those responsible when the corrections are actually being made. Consequently, it is possible to determine the PTI entities from data flow management, and to pass this information on to the persons who need to be notified. For this to occur, though, you must make sure that data flow management has been activated.

We recommend that you set this switch (and the data flow management switch) as follows. Switch it ON for dialog processing; switch it OFF for mass processing (to reduce the system load).

In mass processing, make sure that the field WRITE_CORRECTION in

structure /BA1/FK_STR_CUST_SETTING has been activated, so that it can interpret field WRITE_INC_ENT.
