In this activity you define object ID types for certain object types, in other words you specify what type of identification number you want to use to identify objects in recalls.

Use

The values which you define in this activity are the values in the input help for the field object ID type in transaction WTYRCL.

Requirements

Standard settings

Only the object ID type VHCLE (internal vehicle number) for the object type VELO is delivered with the standard system.

If you want to define additional object ID types then you must carry out the necessary programming in BAdI WTY_RECALLS.

Activities

Example

In SAP Vehicle Management System (VMS) a vehicle can be described using the following types of identification numbers:

  • internal vehicle number
  • external vehicle number
  • VIN

You can use any of these identification numbers as object ID types.
