Use
This business add-in (BAdI) is used in the component Warranty Claim Processing.
You can use this BAdI to read and process master data for the generation of subitems for a main item for an item with the item type EXP (list). The master data can be an installed base, a material BOM, a BOS or a task list/routing.
This BAdI is used together with action A080 Explode List.
If you choose a data storage other than that in the default implementation, you also have to adapt BAdI WTY_CREATE_COPY and WTY_READ_SUPPL_DATA.

Requirements
The main item must have item type EXP.
Standard settings
An installed base of type WY (warranty) is read as template in the default implementation. The data in the installed base (IBASE) are transferred. The number of the installed base is required in the field Key (ITMNO) of the main item. The quantities of the installed base are only transferred if the quantity od the item is available.
Data from the material BOM is transferred in the example implementation CL_EXM_IM_WTY_ITEM_GENERATE.
