Use
This business add-in (BAdI) is used in the component Warranty Claim Processing.
You can use this BAdI to access and display a catalog when you call the F4 help function on the field Key. The code that you choose is then returned to the calling program together with further parameters.
The catalog can be in the form of an external data carrier (CD-ROM), an external system or an R/3 catalog.
If you want to use a different catalog as default, you also have to adapt BAdI WTY_READ_SUPPL_DATA and BAdI WTY_CREATE_COPY for testing the data and reading the short text for the field Key.
This BAdI has the method CHANGE_ITMNO.
Requirements
Standard settings
- SAP Discrete Industries
In the default implementation, no catalog is displayed for the item type Material, the labor value catalog WTY2 is displayed for the item type Labor Value and the external service catalog WTY3 for the item type External Service. Both of these catalogs are from the component Equipment and Tools Management (ETM).
- SAP R/3 Enterprise
Standard search helps from the material master are used in the default implementation.
