Use
The budget bucket has to be determined from the respective context in the operative applications (such as the OTB check). The Customizing of the budget type and/or budget level determines the business key of a budget bucket.

Activities
You can select predefined fields for the budget type and/or budget level in Customizing. These fields already uniquely determine how their values can be determined for a specific material on a specified date. This involves:
- The material attributes (such as season year or season type)
- Assignment of the material to a hierarchy node (material hierarchy or material group hierarchy)
- Fields from the document (such as purchasing group in the purchase order for the OTB check)
You can also define your own fields as key fields, but they cannot be part of the communication structure in the import interface. Therefore, the function modules provide BAdI methods that you can use to determine the values of your customer key fields.
The name of the BAdI implementation has to be defined in Customizing for the budget type and/or budget level for each customer key field.
