In this IMG activity you specify the number ranges for the following objects from which number assignment is made:
- Disposal documents
- Numbers that regional authorities prescribe for disposal documents
- Numbers that transregional authorities prescribe for disposal documents
There are two kinds of number assignment for objects:
- Internal number assignment
When an object is created, the SAP System assigns a sequential number from an internal number range interval that you have specified.
- External number assignment
When an object is created you can specify a number from the external number range interval that you have specified.
You assign the number ranges set here to the individual disposal documents in the IMG activity Specify Disposal Document Types.
Requirements
To be able to specify the number ranges, you require authorization for the following number range objects:
- EWA_MNANOC authority-assigned number for transregional disposal documents
- EWA_MNANOR authority-assigned number for regional disposal documents
- EWA_MNINO disposal document number
These objects are checked in the authorization object S_NUMBER (object class BC_Z).
Standard settings
Default settings are delivered.
Activities
If necessary, change the number ranges in the standard system. Note the following:
- The number range intervals of an object must not overlap.
- You can specify prefixes for the numbers stipulated by regional and and transregional authorities for disposal documents in the IMG activity Specify Disposal Document Types. For internal number assignment, these prefixes are output with the disposal document number from the internal number range interval when a disposal document is printed
