Various waste approval types are prescribed by law, depending on the waste and the disposal channel. In the master data for the Waste Management component, you must specify the waste approval type for each waste approval.
In this IMG activity, you specify the waste approval types. For each waste approval type, you can also control the data entry in Waste Management by entering the following data:
- You can specify an internal number range from which the system assigns the codes for the waste approval of the waste approval type. You define number ranges in the IMG activity Specify Number Ranges.
- You can specify an external number range from which you can assign the codes for the waste approval of the waste approval type.
- You can specify the waste catalogs from which you can assign waste codes to a waste approval of the waste approval type, and how many waste codes you can assign per waste catalog.
- You can specify the type(s) of disposal documents that are stipulated for waste approvals of the waste approval type.
Requirements
You must have created the waste catalogs as phrases and assigned them to the phrase set that was assigned to the Waste catalog field in the Waste Codes per Waste Approval Type detail view in this IMG activity. For more information about phrases and phrase sets, see the documentation for the Create Phrase Sets IMG activity and the Phrase Management section of the Basic Data and Tools documentation.
Activities
Proceed as follows in order to specify for a waste approval type the waste catalogs from which waste codes can be assigned to a waste approval of the waste approval type, and how many waste codes can be assigned per waste catalog:
- Call the IMG activity.
- Select the waste approval type.
- Choose Waste Codes per Waste Approval Type.
- Choose New Entries.
- Enter all the permitted waste catalogs.
- Enter the maximum number of waste codes that can be assigned to a waste approval of the waste approval type from the respective waste catalogs.
- Save your entries.
Proceed as follows in order to specify the type(s) of waste approvals stipulated for a waste approval type.
- Call the IMG activity.
- Select the waste approval type.
- Choose Disposal Document Types per Waste Approval Type.
- Choose New Entries.
- Specify the type(s) of waste approvals stipulated.
- Save your entries.
