Document
Document Class | SIMG | Hypertext: Object Class - Class to which a document belongs. |
Document Name | WA_MD_005 |
A waste management business partner can be identical to other objects in the SAP System, for example, a plant, a company code, or a cost center. In the master data for the Waste Management component, you can also assign a waste management business partner the object in the SAP System to which it is identical.
In this IMG activity you specify which object types you can assign to the waste management business partners.
Standard settings
Default settings are delivered. You cannot change these settings, but you can add more settings.
If you do not require an object type for a partner type or waste management business partner role, in the IMG activities Specify Field Attributes per Partner Type and Specify Field Attributes per Role you can specify that the input fields for the object type should be hidden.
Activities
- Call the IMG activity.
- Check whether the standard settings contain all object types of objects in the SAP System that you want to assign to the waste management business partners.
- If you require additional object types, add the respective fields to the EHSWAS_MDINTO structure using append structure.
- Include the newly added object types and field names in this IMG activity.
- Specify an appropriate function module for the object types for which, for example, checks are to be made when an object of the object type is entered. In the standard system, the function module EHSWA_OBJART_FUNCTION is provided for this purpose.
- Specify whether the objects of the object type assigned to the waste management business partners are account assignment objects and should therefore automatically be assigned to the entry documents as account assignment objects in disposal processing.
- Specify whether these account assignment objects should be checked automatically when you assign them to a waste management business partner in the master data.
Caution:
You can make the last two settings only for object types whose objects can also be used as account assignment objects in the SAP System (for example, cost centers and orders).
- In general, a waste management business partner can only be identical to one object in the SAP System so that you can assign only one object in the Waste Management master data to each waste management business partner. Proceed as follows to permit multiple assignments for individual object types and roles.
- Select the object type.
- Choose Set Multiple Assignment.
- Specify the roles of the waste management business partners for which you want to permit multiple assignment.
- Set the Mult. asst (multiple assignment) indicator for each of these roles. In general, you can assign only one object of each object type to a waste management business partner.
Example:
A waste generator creates a waste disposer in the master data, with which the waste generator wants to dispose of cost-incurring and revenue-bringing wastes. The waste generator therefore assigns the waste disposer both a vendor (object type VENDOR) and a customer (object type CUST). To make this possible, the Mult. asst indicator must be set for the waste disposer role in this IMG activity for both object types.
