Use

In this IMG activity, you specify status profiles for user statuses, which you can use for entry documents in disposal processing for the Waste Management component. You can specify as many status profiles as you wish here; you can then assign a status profile to each document category in the Specify Document Categories IMG activity.

Standard settings

The status network delivered for entry documents in disposal processing contains the following system statuses, which you cannot change:

Locked <-> Created -> Closed

In this status network, you can only define a status profile from user statuses for the system status Created. The system sets the user statuses when you execute a function for an entry document, for example, posting the waste quantity.

The status profile EHS_WMM1 is supplied with the standard system as an example and assigned to the document category 000001. For more information about this status profile and which status is set when performing which function, see the SAP Library for the Waste Management component under Entry Document Status.

Note:

SAP emphasizes that the status profile supplied with the system is an example, which you must tailor to your own requirements.

Activities

You can use the standard status profile as a template and also create new status profiles.

Proceed as follows to create a status profile:

  1. Call the IMG activity.
  2. Choose Edit -> New entry.
  3. Enter the required data and choose Continue.
  4. Select the status profile that was created by double-clicking.
  5. Enter the required data and choose Object types.
  6. Choose the object type Waste Quantity and save your entry.

If you want the system to set a particular status, for example Posted, for a function, for example, Post, proceed as follows:

  1. Assign an appropriate business transaction, for example, WA-PRO: Post to the function Post in the Specify Functions IMG activity.
  2. Set the Set indicator for the business transaction WA-PRO: Post in the detail view of the user status Posted in the current IMG activity.

This makes the system set the Posted user status for an entry document when you execute the business transaction, in other words, the assigned function Post for the entry document.

  3. Set the Permitted indicator in the detail view for the business transaction WA-PRO: Post for at least one user status, for example, for the user status Created.

This means that you are allowed to execute the business transaction and therefore the Post function for entry documents in the user status Created.

Further notes

The EHSWA_209_RECALCULATE function module is supplied with the standard system. This function module recalculates the waste quantities from the disposal documents for the entry documents from which the disposal documents were created. It uses the business transaction WA-PRO: Confirm. This means, when you use this function module by specifying the function module EHSWA_209_COMPL_WITH_RECAL as the function for disposal documents in the Specify Functions IMG activity, you have to check the status settings for the business transaction WA-PRO: Confirm in this IMG activity and tailor it to your requirements if necessary.

The system sets the system status Closed automatically when you execute one of the following standard functions for an entry document:

  • Split Document
  • Close Entry Document
