Further notes

  • WAM_DOC_ALERTLIMIT and WAM_DOC_WARNLIMIT

Here you can specify the number of entry documents found above which the entry document search is canceled (WAM_DOC_ALERTLIMIT) and the number of entry documents found during the entry document search above which a warning is output (WAM_DOC_WARNLIMIT). If the warning is output, you can decide whether the system should display the entry documents found or cancel the search. Processing takes place in the function module EHSWA_102_NUMBER_OF_HITS.

  • WAM_EA_NO_ACC_CHECK and WAM_MD_NO_ACC_CHECK

In Waste Management, the account assignment objects are validated against the fields from the account assignment block as standard (function module COBL_EX_CODINGBLOCK_CHECK). If you set these indicators, the account assignment objects that you assign in disposal processing (WAM_EA_NO_ACC_CHECK) or in the master data (WAM_MD_NO_ACC_CHECK) are not checked. In addition, the G/L account is not determined in disposal processing either.

    Recommendation:

  • We recommend that you do not set this indicator, in other words that you should not switch off the standard check. Incorrect assignment of account assignment objects is otherwise not displayed immediately and can lead to errors during further processing.
  • WAM_ENTAM_FIELD1 and WAM_ENTAM_FIELD2

Here you can specify individual descriptions for the customer fields in disposal processing. You can find these fields on the disposal processing screen in the Selection screen area, in the document overview table, and in the detail view on the Additional data tab. Also note the following points:

    • The description of the field must be created as a phrase in phrase management in the SAP component Product Safety.
    • The output length of the descriptions is 20 characters. The phrase text should therefore not be longer than 20 characters.
    • You must enter the corresponding phrase for the environment parameter in the form <phrase catalog>-<phrase key>.
  • WAM_MD_NO_DOUBLE_ENTRY_CHECK

If you set this indicator, the integration objects are not checked, meaning that you can then assign the same integration object to several waste management business partners of a role.

  • WAM_PHRSET_WACATLG

The phrase set you specify here is used by the check function C142_WASTECOCAT to check the entries for the identification type WASTECOCAT (waste catalog). The check function checks whether the entry corresponds to a phrase code of a phrase that is contained in the phrase set specified here.

    Note:

For these checks to be run, you must have specified the check function C142_WASTECOCAT for the identification type WASTECOCAT (waste catalog) in the Identifier check function field in Customizing for Product Safety in the IMG activity Check Identification Types. To avoid data inconsistencies, you should specify the same phrase set for the environment parameter WAM_PHRSET_WACATLG as you assigned to the characteristic SAP_EHS_1024_001_WASTE_CATALOG (waste catalog) in specification management. For more information on how to assign a phrase set to a characteristic, see the documentation for Product Safety.

  • WAM_TREE_ADRESS

If you set this indicator, the name in the overview tree is not read from the address data of the waste management business partner in the initial master data screen in Waste Management. This improves performance when the overview tree is constructed.
