Use
Waste Management uses functions of the following components for generating, printing, and shipping disposal documents:
- Report generation and report information system in the Basic Data and Tools component
- Report management and report shipping in the Product Safety component
This IMG activity describes the settings you have to make in Customizing for Product Safety so that the necessary functions are also available in Waste Management. For information about the settings you have to make in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools, see Configure Basic Data and Tools for Waste Management.
Standard settings
Default settings are delivered.
Activities
Check the settings in Customizing for Product Safety and add to them if necessary. Check and complete the following IMG activities:
- Specify Report Categories
Check whether the report category HAZWAM (Disposal documents) exists and whether the business process HWM_DIST (Disposal documents) has been assigned to it in the Bus. proc. field, and whether the report application WASTEMGMT (Disposal documents) has been assigned to it in the Rep.applic field.
- Specify Report Applications
Check whether the report application WASTEMGMT (Disposal documents) exists.
- Specify Business Processes
Check whether the business process HWM_DIST (Disposal documents) exists.
- Specify Shipping Reasons
Check whether an entry exists for the MAN_CALL reason (Report shipping order - created manually), to which the HWM_DIST (Disposal documents) business process is assigned. The initial status {1 (Released) and the process type I (Immediately) must also be assigned, and the Output check and Bundle indicators set.
Check whether an entry exists for the PRINT_CALL (Print order for a report) reason, to which the HWM_DIST (Disposal documents) business process is assigned. The initial status {1 (Released) and the process type I (Immediately) must be assigned, but no indicator set.
- Assign Communication Types
Check whether the following entries exist:

This means manual report shipping is possible for disposal documents using all communication types, and the report category can be printed.
- Assign Names for User Exits
- Check whether an entry exists for the MAN_CALL (Report shipping order - created manually) reason, to which the HWM_DIST (Disposal documents) business process is assigned. The user exit EHS_SAVE of user exit type SAVE must also be assigned.
- Check whether an entry for the PRINT_CALL (Print order for a report) reason exists, to which the HWM_DIST (Disposal documents) business process is assigned. The user exit EHS_DELETE of user exit type SAVE must be assigned.
- This means that report shipping orders that are generated using the Ship action, remain in the system and the report shipping orders generated by the Print action are deleted.
- Check whether an entry exists for the MAN_CALL reason and the PRINT_CALL reason, to which the HWM_DIST business process, the CREATE exit type and a user exit are assigned. The EHSWA_280_RDOS_CREATE_EXIT function module must be assigned to this user exit in the Manage User Exits IMG activity (see above).
