In this step base material groups, hierarchy structures and characteristics profiles can be deleted.
Requirements
Your system is configured as an SAP Retail System.
Activities
1. Delete material groups (base material groups)
2. Delete hierarchy levels
You delete hierarchy levels using transaction WG03 (deleting
material groups)
3. Delete characteristics profiles
You delete characteristics profiles using transaction WG03
(deleting material groups)
Further notes
You cannot delete a material group if there are materials still assigned to it (with the exception of the reference material and the material group material), nor if the material group is still assigned to stores or any material group hierarchy level is still assigned to the material group. The same applies to hierarchy levels and characteristics profiles.
Only the material groups are transported automatically!
All the other objects in the material group environment (see points 2 and 3) are not transported automatically!
