In this step, you define the document types.

Activities

  1. Perform the function.

    You go to a list of all document types.

  2. In change mode, choose Edit -> New entries.
  3. Enter the:
    1. Document type
    2. Long description
    3. Document category
    4. Status
      5. The status flag determines whether a document appears in the Business Document Navigator as a standard document (status flag is selected) or not (status flag is not selected).
  4. Choose Table view -> Save.

Further notes

Take account of the naming conventions. Names Y* and Z* are defined for new names.

In this step, you define the links for the storage of documents in the optical archive.

Requirements

An (optical) archive exists.

The archive link for the outbound document currently exists for transmission medium printing but not faxing.
