In this step, you define pricing strategies. Pricing strategies specify how, in the sales price calculation function, a suggested price is generated from competitor prices. A pricing strategy consists of the following individual elements:
- Pricing strategy type
- Initialization type
- End rule
- Percentage
- Rounding to price points
- Function module
The pricing strategy type defines the fundamental characteristics of a pricing strategy, for example, whether the lowest or the highest competitor price should be determined.
If no competitor price could be determined, the initialization type determines which price is to be used as the suggested price.
You can use the end rule to change the suggested price again by a certain percentage once all the competitor prices have been evaluated.
This percentage is then maintained in the percentage rate field.
The price point rounding indicator rounds the suggested price in accordance with the settings made for the price point group.
If the control parameters described here are not sufficient for your particular requirements, you can use a special function module to create an individual pricing strategy.
