Use
If you want to update the movement data to the level of detail of the assortment area, you need to create an implementation.
Note that using the assortment area can cause the datasets in the Retail Ledger to grow considerably. SAP therefore recommends that the assortment area only contains around five to six items.
Also note that the derivation of the assortment area is as high- performance as possible, as the assortment area is determined when the data is posted.
Requirements
The implementation determines the assortment area from the field that is to be transferred in combination with a field movement. (To do this, the standard exit S77 must be used in the field movement when deriving the assortment area).

Example
You divide your assortment into the assortment areas basic foodstuffs, non-food, hobbies and perishable goods. The assortment area is determined from the material using the implementation of the BAdI.
