Use
In this IMG activity, you can define your own distribution strategy for each material and supplying plant combination.
Based on a distribution strategy, a distribution quantity will be calculated for every possible recipient or a part of the possible recipients which can be provided from the current supplying plant and material. Pre-existing quantities (in the form of stock transfer orders or sales orders) will be overwritten by the results of the current distribution planning, besides similar order types created using the allocation table or collective order.
The SAP Values are:
- MANUALLY DISTRIBUTION
For every supplying plant/material combination, manual distribution strategy is set by default. That means that no automatic distribution will be performed. The planner only has the options to change, create or delete distribution quantities manually.
- EQUAL DISTRIBUTION
The system will deploy the same quantity to every recipient independently, regardless of existing demands. Deviations from equal quantity can be caused by rounding effects.
- PULL TO THE DEMAND
The system will try to exactly cover the demand quantities from the destination locations. If the deployed quantity is less than the sum of the considered demand quantities, a fair share strategy will be used. If the deployed quantity exceeds the sum of the considered demand quantities, at most a part of the deployed quantity will be distributed to completely cover all demands.
- PUSH TO THE DEMAND
The system will deploy the complete distribution quantity, which will be distributed proportionately to the considered demands. If the sum of the considered demand quantities exceeds the deployed quantity, it will be distributed using the same logic.
- PUSH TO QUOTA
The system will deploy the complete deploy quantity proportional to quotations the buyer has maintained in Customizing. The quotations are maintained dependent on the supplying plant, the material and the recipients.
You may define your own distribution strategies by implementing the DISTRIBUTE method of the FIP_BADI_DISTR_STRAT BAdI.
