In this step you define the procedures for additionals that are allowed for each material group.
The settings you make here will ensure that only the combinations of procedures for additionals and material groups for additionals that you define are allowed when additionals are created in material maintenance or during subsequent processing for promotions.
In this way, you can prevent additionals from being used in situations other than those specifically defined by you.
Example
You want shelf-edge labels to be are affixed in stores and not in distribution centers.
The system will refuse the distribution center assignment as soon as you attempt to create the additional if the material group for shelf-edge labels has not been assigned to the relevant procedure for additionals.
In this case, the material group for shelf-edge labels would only be assigned to the procedure defined for affixing the labels in the store.

Your system is configured as an SAP Retail System.
The procedures and material groups for the additionals must already have been set up.

You do not have to assign a procedure to every material group for additionals.
If you do not, it is assumed that every procedure is permitted for the additionals in that material group.
Security tags can be affixed in both the distribution center and the store, for example. You can, of course, also make entries to define any specific combinations of your choice.
