Use
You use this BAdI to define an alternate connector for the catalog search via SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search within the Enhanced Material Search function.
This BAdI uses the interface IF_BADI_WSD_ESH_CONNECT
Requirements
Before you can use this BAdI you have to set your search engine to SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search in Customizing by choosing Materials Management -> General Settings for Materials Management -> Enhanced Material Search -> Configure and Activate Enhanced Material Search with Creation. In addition, you have to configure and connect the SAP Netweaver Enterprise Search.
Standard settings
The BAdI is not filter dependent.
Example
If you use SAP Master Data Management (MDM) instead of PRICAT to manage your catalog data, you have to define a search connector for your MDM catalog and import the MDM database into SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search. Since the MDM connector is defined differently than the WSD_CAT connector, you have to exchange the connector ID within the Enhanced Material Search function with the MDM catalog connector ID. When you execute the search, you search the MDM catalog. Replace the connector ID "WSD_CAT" by the connector ID defined by SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search.
