Use
You use this BAdI in the Search Engine Service (SES) to index the TREX index WSD_CAT (Supplier Catalog Items).
The retrieving data cannot be standardized as catalog materials can be either:
- Sent by vendors using different document formats, such as flat file or XML documents
- Stored in internal database tables, such as a "shadow database"
The BAdI methods read the objects that will be indexed for WSD_CAT in one process. The BAdI is called when the user starts a full or delta indexing of the business object WSD_CAT within Search Engine Service.
This BAdI uses the interface IF_BADI_WSD_CATALOG_TREX.
Requirements
This BAdI can only be used when the search engine "Search Engine Service" is configured in Customizing by choosing Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Configure and Activate Enhanced Search with Creation.
Standard settings
In the standard system there is no activated BAdI implementation. However, if the customer needs to use catalog search, an active implementation must be developed.
