Use
You use this BAdI in the Enhanced Material Search function to allow customer-specific implementation of the Catalog Search and Material Existence Check functions.
The BAdI is called when the user launches a catalog search from the Enhanced Material Search function. The BAdI implementation provides data displayed as a search result in Enhanced Material Search function.
This BAdI uses the interface IF_BADI_WSD_CATALOG.
Requirements
You must set the External Catalog setting to Access Via User Exit in Customizing by choosing Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Configure and Activate Enhanced Search with Creation.
Standard settings
There is no active BAdI implementation in the standard system. If the External Catalog setting is set to Access Via User Exit and the BAdI is not implemented, the system displays a dialog box with the message Catalog Search BAdI Not Implemented.
This BAdI definition is not filter-dependent and is designed for single use.
