Use

In this IMG activity, you define an alternate rule for transferring goods to consignment stocks and activate it in the stock determination framework.

Requirements

You also have to define a strategy for the alternate consignment rule - that is, a suitable combination of plant, stock determination group and stock determination rule has to exist.

Standard settings

Activities

  • Assign an alternate rule for consignment to the desired stock determination rule.

    Because the availability check considers both company's own stocks and consignment stocks by default, each stock determination rule has to contain settings for both stock types. We recommend using the following settings:

  • To use the alternate rule for consignment stock during stock determination, set the Cons. Stock Transfer flag.

    When stock determination is activated, the stock split is excluded during stock determination, which means you have to set the stock split to 1.

In this example, consignment stock determination is active for stock determination rule 4711 and an alternate consignment rule was defined, which means stock determination is performed using the alternate consignment rule, 4712.

In this example, stock determination rule 4711 is again assigned an alternate consignment rule. This has no effect on stock determination in this case, however, because consignment was not activated for the stock transfer. As a result, rule 4711 is used for stock determination.
