Use

You can use the grouping characteristic to further subdivide or indentify business partners within a client. The grouping characteristic can be defined to suit your requirements. You can enter a description and determine authorizations for individual grouping characteristics.

Activities

Example

All the business partners for an affiliated company are managed in one client.

However, each business partner is uniquely assigned to a subsidiary. This means that if a business partner has a business relationship with several subsidiaries, it will therefore exist several times in the system. The grouping characteristic assigned to the business partner in the master record uniquely shows that the business partner is assigned to the respective subsidiary. You can protect access to this business partner using an authorization object (B_BUPA_PGM).
