Use

In this Customizing activity, you create edge types to specify the type of the link object between two nodes of an object link. If you have created your customer-specific edge profiles in Customizing for Linear Asset Management in the activity Define Edge Profile, you can assign your edge types to these edge profiles in the activity Assign Edge Profile to Edge Type.

Example

For example, your object link consists of two pump stations (node 1 and node 2) and a segment of pipe in between, which is the link object. In the graphical display, this link object is referred to as the 'edge'.
