In this activity you specify whether the variable object identifications that you defined in Define Identification Types are required entries and whether the ID has to be unique.

You set the Req. fld. indicator to stipulate that an entry has to be made for this variable object ID in the application.

You set the Unique indicator to specify that the application object can only have one variable identification. In other words, there is a 1:1 relationship betwen the object and the variable identification.
