Use
In this step, you create the notification type for the order types from PP that you want to use. To do so, you specify a notification type for an entry consisting of plant and order type. With the entry of the notification type for Quality Management, you fulfill the precondition enabling a quality notification to be created in the background when a confirmation is entered in the portal.
Here you can also define whether the shift field is shown in the confirmation, whether a shift is proposed there and, if so, how the shift to be proposed is to be determined.
Requirements
In Customizing for the confirmation, you have created an entry consisting of a plant and order type in the process step Define Confirmation Parameters.
Standard settings
The system determines the suitable shifts for the confirmation as follows:
- The system determines the possible shifts from the current work center for the operation confirmation. The system searches the intervals of available capacity that were stored, and takes into account the active version of the available capacity and the factory calendar. All shifts that are valid on the posting date are suitable shifts from which you select the one you would like to use.
- If there is no shift definition in the interval of available capacity, then the system does not consider the intervals. The system will instead determine and propose all shift definitions contained in the grouping that was entered in the work center.
- If there is no grouping available in the work center, the system will use grouping 0.
- If there are no shift definitions in the interval of the available capacity or in the grouping, then you cannot enter a shift.
