Use
This IMG activity is relevant for documents only, and not for records or record models.
A document type has to be created for each document format that you want to display in Records Management. The document type covers the document format, the MIME type and the application displaying the document.
SAP already supplies document types for the current document formats. You therefore only have to maintain this IMG activity, if you want to display a specific document format with a different application than the one specified in the Customizing template. For example: You want to display MS Word documents in an HTML control and not in the Desktop Office Integration.
Note: The IMG activity is also used in the archive link 'Customizing'.
Requirements
Standard settings
Activities
Enter the following information:
- Document type
Technical format of a document
Example: "DOC" for MS Word files
- Long text
Description of the document type
- MIME type of Web object
MIME type of a document (required for HTTP access)
Example: "application/msword" for MS Word files
- Application (only visible in the detail view)
Display control
Examples:
- " WORD.DOCUMENT.8" for displaying MS Word files in the Desktop Office Integration
- " EAIWEB.WEBVIEWER2D" for displaying FAX files in EAI control
- "SAPHTML" for displaying GIF files in HTML control
