Use

In this activity, you check that your Customizing settings for generating absence quotas that you want to process together over more than one personnel assignment are consistent from a business point of view and can be processed by time evaluation for concurrent employment. This documentation tells you which of the relevant fields in the Customizing tables have to be filled with identical values over all personnel assignments being processed together.

Key fields do not have to be identical

The following key fields do not have to be identical over all personnel assignments being processed for the selection of absence quotas:

  • The assigned groupings
  • The absence quota types being selected and the related groupings
  • The number of quota type selection rules being processed

Distribution of output data

The absence quotas being generated are assigned to the individual personnel assignments being processed, according to the Customizing settings for the personnel assignments. This means that different accrual entitlements, for example, can be determined for the various personnel assignments. When you enter a distribution method, specify which quota entitlements you want to be deducted from which personnel assignment when the maximum entitlement has been exceeded.

Activities

  1. In your Customizing settings for the business subject, check that you assigned the same business subject to the absence quota type being generated as you assigned to the quota for exceeding the maximum entitlement and the reduction quota, if you use them.
  2. Call up the view cluster for the generation rules.
  3. Call up the quota types entry in the dialog structure.
    The generation behavior of the quota types being generated is identical for all personnel assignments being processed: They are either increasing or replacing quotas.
  4. Call up the selection rules entry in the dialog structure.
    1. Applicability tab page
      All quota type selection rules being processed can be applied.
    2. Accrual Period tab page
      All quota type selection rules being processed together have the same accrual period and either take account of a change in work center/basic pay or do not.
      Note: Accrual periods defined by Customizing settings or by infotypes must be identical.
  5. Call up the base entitlement entry in the dialog structure.
    The base entitlement does not have to be identical. Nevertheless, the same base period must always be used.
  6. Call up the selection rules entry in the dialog structure again.
    1. Base Entitlement tab page
      All quota type selection rules processed together use the same method for calculating employees' seniority. The key dates for determining employees' seniority or age do not have to be the same.
    2. Accrual Entitlement tab page
      All entries do not have to be the same.
    3. Transfer Time tab page
      The transfer time must be identical, the transfer packages do not have to be the same.
    4. Total Entitlement tab page
      The total entitlement must be identical, the rounding rules do not have to be.
  7. Adjust your schema according to the incompatible changes described in the function documentation:
    1. If required, add the P2013 function to your schema.
    2. Add the QUOTA function to the schema before the CUMBT function.
