Use
In the case of integrated transactions (integrated asset acquisition, down payment to asset, and integrated asset retirement), you have to or want to possibly specify alternative document types for ledger-group-specific documents of Asset Accounting. (For more information, see the documentation of the Specify Alternative Document Type for Ledger-Group-Specific Documents activity.
In this activity, you can differentiate the alternative document types even further, dependent on the company code.
Standard System Behavior:
If you have entered an alternative document type in this activity that is dependent on the company code, then the system uses this document type. If you have not entered such a document type in this activity, the system checks further if you have entered an alternative document type in the general activity Specify Alternative Document Type for Ledger-Group-Specific Documents, and uses this document type, if applicable. If you also have not entered an alternative document type there, the system uses the document type from the entry view.
Requirements
You have created a document type for the operative (ledger-group-specific) documents. If document splitting is active, the document type is defined accordingly.
Standard settings
Activities
Enter the document types of the entry view for the relevant business transactions (integrated asset acquisition, down payment to asset, and integrated asset retirement), and - dependent on the company code - enter the alternative document type of the ledger-group-specific document of Asset Accounting.
