The IMG activity is only relevant if you used the interest on arrears calculation for the product category Consumer Loan (340) in a release prior to SAP ECC Enterprise Extension Financial Services 6.0 (EA-FS 600), or if you have migrated flow types from an external system.
In this IMG activity you determine the flow types that the system used to post interest on arrears in a release prior to SAP ECC Enterprise Extension Financial Services 6.0 (EA-FS 600) or that you have migrated from an external system.
This enables you to prevent the system recalculating interest on arrears for periods that you have already calculated with the old procedure, with the new procedure.
During an interest on arrears calculation, the system checks each loan to see whether there are postings that have been made with the flow types defined here. If so, it only calculates the interest on arrears for new postings, and does not make recalculations for periods already calculated.
