Use

In this Customizing activity, you use the report program Assigning Sentiment to Entity to assign a sentiment to an entity. There are three different processing scenarios:

  • There is an entity but no sentiment has been associated with it
  • There is an entity and it is possible to assign a sentiment to it
  • Sentiment was found but it cannot be assigned to an entity

Requirements

  • Generating Text Analysis Index
  • A variant should be created for the report SMI_SENTIMENT_ASSIGNMENT and you need to specify the number of packages.

    To create a variant, proceed as follows:

    • Execute transaction SA38.
    • Enter the name of the report (SMI_SENTIMENT_ASSIGNMENT) in the Program field.
    • Navigate to Goto->Variants.
    • Enter the name of the variant in the Variant field.
    • Choose Create.
    • Choose Attributes.
    • Enter Description.
    • Choose Save.
    • Enter the planned number of packages. To reduce the amount of allocated memory, the records to be processed within a run can be split into packages.
    • Note: The Process Posts for Date and Test Mode fields should be empty.
    • Choose Save.

Activities

To assign the entity to the sentiment in regular intervals, proceed as follows:

  1. Enter the Job Name.
  2. Enter the Job Class.
  3. Choose Start Condition. The Start Time window appears.
  4. Maintain the start time.
  5. Select the Periodic Job checkbox.
  6. Choose Period Values. The Period Values window appears.
  7. Select the Period. The period can be hourly, daily, and so on. The higher execution frequency is preferred.
  8. Choose Check and Save on the Period Value window.
  9. Choose Check and Save on the Start Time window.
  10. Choose Step. The Create Step window appears.
  11. Enter the ABAP Report Name as SMI_SENTIMENT_ASSIGNMENT.
  12. Enter the variant.
  13. Choose Check and Save.
  14. Choose Save.
