Use

Automatic Generation of Attribute Descriptions

Requirements

You are using the Records Management standard attribute memory and have registered database tables and structure for an attribute model.

Standard settings

Activities

In this activity, you can generate the attribute descriptions for each attribute model for which you have registered tables and structures.

Note: All existing attribute descriptions for an attribute model will be deleted during generation.

Note that the attribute descriptions you have generated will not be added to a transport request. If you want to transport the attribute descriptions, use the transport function in the IMG activity for maintaining attribute descriptions.

When attributes are generated, their ID is represented by the name of a field in a registered structure. The following properties are also set:

  • Basic attribute description:
    • Reference table: Name of the table in which the attribute is stored
    • Reference field: Name of the table field in which the attribute is stored
    • Can be valuated more than once (if registered as such)
    • Maintainable
    • Language-sensitive (if registered as such)
    • Visible
    • Visible in list
    • Searchable
  • Visualization description for display and maintenance:
    • Row number: is set according to the sequence of attributes in the registered structures
    • Column number: 1
    • Field type: "Normal field"
    • Editable
  • Visualization description for search:
    • Row number: is set according to the sequence of attributes in the registered structures
    • Column number: 1
    • Field type: "Normal field"
    • Select Options: Set
  • Visualization description for display in a list:
    • Row number: is set according to the sequence of attributes in the registered structures
